Terms of Use

These conditions govern access to and use of Barry County Criminal History, including its informational pages and search tools. They define the site's private status, restrictions on use, treatment of outside services, and limits of responsibility. Browsing, reading, or submitting a query signals agreement with these terms. Anyone who does not accept them should discontinue use. Official records remain under the control of the government office that created or maintains them, and these rules apply throughout each visit.

1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site with no connection to a court, sheriff, or state agency. It neither stores official criminal files nor submits checks, requests, or court papers for a user.

Its role is to identify the Barry County Sheriff, Circuit Clerk, MSHP CJIS Central Repository, Missouri Sex Offender Registry, and other official custodians, while also presenting search tools operated by third parties. The county directory remains the official local office reference. Government-record access remains subject to the Missouri Sunshine Law, Chapter 610 RSMo, and state criminal-history dissemination is governed by §43.540 RSMo.

2. Rules for Using This Site

You agree that you will not:

  • Use the service in violation of federal, Missouri, or local law
  • Threaten, stalk, intimidate, or harass another person
  • Use site content for an FCRA-regulated decision
  • Attempt unauthorized access to a system or account
  • Deploy scraping, bot, or other automated access tools
  • Interfere with availability or another visitor's use

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information reached here may not be used to stalk, threaten, harass, intimidate, or unlawfully discriminate. Missouri registry information exists for public safety and community awareness. State law forbids using it to facilitate a crime, and nothing authorizes confrontation or vigilante conduct.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and do not create credit, background, or consumer reports. A user may not rely on the site or any linked tool to:

  • Make an employment decision
  • Evaluate a housing application
  • Set credit or insurance eligibility or terms
  • Decide access to a license, benefit, or program where consumer-report law applies
  • Carry out any other FCRA-regulated purpose

Any legally required report must be obtained through an authorized, compliant channel; this website cannot supply it.

5. No Legal Advice

The site's general Barry County records information is not legal advice. Only a licensed Missouri lawyer can advise how a warrant, charge, judgment, or expungement rule applies to a person.
